Little facts about the reimagination:
Of no special origin but with the bravery and faith of a lord, Roderick Cainsson guided the survivors of vampirekind across the lands into the sanctuary of white and red where humankind's onslaught would not dare follow.

Cainssons have notthing to do with the biblical Cain and there has never been a vampire named Cain. The name was adopted from the legendary sword used by a legendary hero to slay a legendary dragon whose's blood tainted the hero and gave birth, according to legend, to the first of vampirekin.
